Woodstock woman killed in shooting outside her home

Woodstock residents are reeling in shock following the
deadly shooting of a 30-year-old woman outside her home in Sussex Street on
Monday.

Gary Adams, community policing forum (CPF) public relations
officer, said the incident occurred around 21:00.

Sgt Wesley Twigg, provincial police spokesperson, said
officers responded to the scene and found the deceased with gunshot wounds to
her body.

“According to reports, the victim was approached by an
unknown suspect who shot her before fleeing the scene. The victim was declared
deceased on the scene by medical personnel. The motive for the attack has yet
to be determined.”

Twigg said a murder case was being investigated and no
arrests have yet been made.
