Members of four Tafelsig-based seniors clubs put their trainers on for a sports day held at the Tafelsig Community Hall on Tuesday 28 June.

Hosted by the Kilimanjaro Seniors’ Club, the group were joined by Searidge Park Seniors, Mission with a Vision Seniors and Creative Caring Seniors for age-appropriate games.

A sack race, egg-and-spoon, ball rolling, tug-o-war and bingo were on the race card for the day.

The event was enjoyed by the seniors, who were also treated to soup while enjoying the company of their peers.

Most of the groups accept members from 55 years and older.

  • Kilimanjaro Seniors’ Club meet on Tuesdays from 11:00 to 13:00 at the Tafelsig Community Hall in Dolomites Street.
  • Searidge Park Seniors meet on Tuesdays at the New Apostolic Church in Kilimanjaro Street at 10:00.
  • Mission with a Vision Seniors meet at the Tafelsig Community Hall in Dolomites Street on Mondays at 10:00.
  • Creative Caring Seniors meet at 88 Kilimanjaro Street on Mondays and Thursdays from 10:00 to 14:00.
