Two people have been shot and killed following a shooting at the Camps Bay Promenade earlier today (Wednesday 5 October).
WO Joseph Swartbooi, police spokesperson, says Camps Bay police responded to the scene at about 15:40.
“Upon their arrival at the scene in Victoria Road, they found the body of an unknown man who sustained gunshot wounds to his body. Further inspection of the surrounding area indicated the body of a second unknown man who also sustained gunshot wounds.”
Witbooi says the suspects fled the scene and are yet to be arrested.
The motive for the attack is being investigated.
He says Camps Bay police are investigating two counts of murder.
