CAPE TOWN-Police are investigating a murder after a man was found with a fatal gunshot wound to the head in Overcome Heights on Monday 20 October.
A second man was injured and transported to a medical facility.
Police spokesperson Sgt Wesley Twigg says Muizenberg police responded to a complaint of a shooting in Rasta Close, at 07:00, where they found the deceased.
“The victim was declared dead on the scene by medical personnel,” he explains. “A second victim (adult male) who also sustained gunshot wounds to his body was transported to a medical facility for treatment.”
The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation and there have been no arrests yet.
“Muizenberg detectives are investigating murder and attempted murder cases,” confirms Twigg.
