The Fish Hoek Surf Lifesaving Club has once again proven itself a powerhouse in the world of lifesaving sport, emerging victorious at the Lifesaving Western Cape Championships 2025.


The Fish Hoek Surf Lifesaving Club has once again proven itself a powerhouse in the world of lifesaving sport, emerging victorious at the Lifesaving Western Cape Championships 2025.

The prestigious event took place at Strand Beach on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 March.

It was fiercely contested by nine Western Cape Provincial Clubs and two visiting teams. The Fish Hoek Surf Lifesaving Club dominated the contest with an impressive tally of 1 468 points, comfortably ahead of the second-placed club, which scored 1 001 points.

Demonstrating outstanding skill, determination and sportsmanship, it secured a remarkable haul of 52 gold, 42 silver and 48 bronze medals. Such an achievement reflects the club’s relentless commitment to excellence and dedication to both the service of lifesaving and the growth and development of lifesaving sport.

The club continues to provide a vital lifesaving service at its beach on the picturesque False Bay coast, ensuring the safety of beachgoers while promoting the sport of lifesaving.

The club has performed consistently throughout the past summer season, winning all local competitions and setting new standards of achievement.
