Klen Jacobs aka Sniper, a local musician based in Muizenberg, is releasing a fresh new Amapiano single called Unamanga.
Sniper’s latest release is a collaboration with his close friend Styven Fatuma aka Elsavado.
“I have been planning to work together with a close friend of mine for some time, as he has always helped me. The person Sniper that I am, is because of him.”
He added that his first music video was shot by Elsavado.
“He is a close friend that has been there since I met him. While pushing my music, he really helped me to boost my image and my music.
“We spoke for a year planning on releasing tracks together since he has collaborated with different artists, just like me. We spoke and made ourselves available to work on an Amapiano mixed with a hip hop vibe.”
Sniper added that the new release is very relatable.
“This single is called Unamanga and if you translate it from Zulu to English it means ‘you are lying’ or ‘you are not being straight forward with me.
“The song is about this woman who is not clear with her intentions. She loves the things you can give to her and what you can do for her, but she does not love you, that’s the concept.
“I could relate to the song, because in the past women would lie to me. If you are well known then people claim to like you.”
Previous releases by Sniper include Big Fish and Who Am I.
Other projects in the pipeline include a clothing line from his clothing brand Threat, and a new hair and beauty business venture with his girlfriend Ncebakazi Lubelo.
“My clothing line is launching in March and will include shorts, T-shirts and caps.”
Sniper says his drive for success pushes him and motivates him.
“My dreams and hunger for success inspires me a lot. We are also shooting a music video at the end of the month.”
The new single will be available on all major digital platforms by the end of this month.
