The City of Cape Town’s Electricity Generation and Distribution Department would like to advise residents of Lansdowne that necessary electricity-supply interruptions for infrastructure maintenance will be carried out in February and March 2024. The City apologises for any inconvenience caused while the critical maintenance is being carried out in specified zones.
The electricity infrastructure maintenance will be carried out on
- Tuesday 13 February from 08:00 to 16:00 and on Tuesday 20 February from 08:00 to 16:00
- Wednesday 20 March from 08:00 to 16:00 and on Wednesday 27 March from 08:00 to 16:00
This is important maintenance of critical power infrastructure in the Lansdowne area. The maintenance work ensures a reliable electricity supply for residents of the area.
The electricity supply can be restored at any time and customers must please treat all electrical installations as live for the full duration of the interruption.
Residents are encouraged to switch appliances off as a precaution to avoid damage caused by power surges when the power comes back on.
