Aspiring business owners will have the opportunity to showcase their creations during the Lalela Youth Day Entrepreneurship Expo on Monday 17 June at the Kronendal Hall.
The expo is designed to celebrate young innovators and will feature an array of young entrepreneurs presenting their products and services for sale.
Lalela is a non-profit organisation (NPO) with a chapter based in Hout Bay. It offers after-school programmes of which the curricula are built at the intersection of arts education, academic achievement and critical life skills, with the aim of cultivating creative expression in the youth.
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore and buy their offerings while supporting the next generation of business leaders. In addition to the marketplace, the event will include live entertainment and a panel discussion featuring prominent local business leaders. These experts are expected to share invaluable insights and advice, providing guidance and inspiration to the young entrepreneurs and attendees alike.
“This event is a celebration of the entrepreneurial spirit among local young people by providing them with a platform to showcase their products and services, network with peers and potential customers, and celebrate their achievements on Youth Day,” shared Lalela’s Communication Officer Linda Daniels.
“This expo is a celebration of youth innovation and creativity,” motivated Lalela’s Executive Director Firdous Hendricks.
“We are excited to provide a space where young entrepreneurs can shine, connect with potential customers, and learn from experienced business leaders. It’s a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together and support our future leaders.”
Doors open at 10:00 and the event will run until 14:00. Stalls are available for booking free of charge.
