The Terry Eksteen Oval in Rondebosch witnessed a display of exceptional cricket skills as the visitors set a formidable total of 295 runs, and seeing the home side fall short in their chase, managing to score only 185 runs.

Green Point’s innings was highlighted by impressive contributions from their top-order batsmen. Gareth Roderick played a crucial innings, scoring 78 runs with a strike rate of 89, while Adam Scher and Rashard Gibbs added to the total with 57 and 61 runs respectively.

The Rondebosch bowlers faced a challenging task, with Joshua Thomas emerging as the pick of the bowlers, claiming four crucial wickets for just 34 runs. Despite their efforts, the bowlers struggled to contain the Green Point batting lineup, ultimately conceding 295 runs in 50 overs.

In response, Rondebosch faced a challenging target and struggled to build substantial partnerships. Jordan Neil (67) and Cameron Fraser (40) were the standout performers for the home side. However, the rest of the batting order found it difficult to withstand the pressure imposed by the Green Point bowlers.
