Four men were injured when a scaffolding platform collapsed at Steenberg Office Park in Westlake this morning (Thursday 22 September).
According to Russel Meiring, communications officer for ER24, Metro Rescue and other services arrived on the scene shortly after 09:00.
Four men were found lying near a pile of collapsed scaffolding.
“Medics assessed the men and found that one man was in a serious condition while the others had sustained minor to moderate injuries. The men were treated, and the seriously injured man was provided with pain-relief medication before they were transported to Mediclinic Constantiaberg and Life Vincent Pallotti Hospital for further care,” says Meiring.
