Ward 81 councillor Ashley Potts has been receiving bulk consignments of foam sheets since last year, which can be used as the inner lining of wendy houses, distributing it free of charge to those collecting on a first come first served basis.
Thanks to a donation of foam sheeting for distribution by a local ward office, hundreds of backyard dwellers have been able to make their wendy houses a bit more comfortable.
Ward 81 councillor Ashley Potts has been receiving bulk consignments of foam sheets since last year, which can be used as the inner lining of wendy houses, distributing it free of charge to those collecting on a first come first served basis.
Last month, a fifth consignment was received and distributed.
“We are receiving it from the company following a request to make these sheets available to residents as a donation. I have found this to be a huge blessing to many residents and have grabbed the offer from the company,” says Potts.
“The Ward 81 office found this to be an awesome gift and thus made the offer free for anyone able to enjoy the use thereof. We advertised the offer on our ward groups but encouraged residents to share the invite [with] anyone they know from any ward or area who could benefit from it.”
The sheeting is supplied as a donation by Aerontec, based in Claremont.
Residents who would like to be considered may contact the ward office on 064 545 6576 or Potts directly on 082 887 6440.
