Deputy police minister’s crime imbizo: Heideveld, Manenberg residents show up in droves to get feedback

Deputy minister of police, Cassel Charlie Mathale has led a follow up community imbizo at Woodlands Primary School in Heideveld, to bring feedback on crime prevention for the communities of Heideveld and Manenberg.


Deputy minister of police, Cassel Charlie Mathale has led a follow up community imbizo at Woodlands Primary School in Heideveld, to bring feedback on crime prevention for the communities of Heideveld and Manenberg. 

Pastor Vernon Visage, Manenberg Community Policing Forum Chair says this is an important meeting for these communities.

“The Heideveld community will have a chance to speak,” he says. “This meeting is welcomed and important for the minister to deliver feedback from the imbizo held at Phoenix High School.”

The imbizo featured stands from various crime and security- related organisations including immigration and forensic services. 

Residents braved the cold and wet conditions to attend the meeting.
