With 64 teams vying for cup glory this year at the Bayview Youth Cup Tournament, with a collective cash prize pot of more than R35 000 up for grabs in five cup sections.
The first 16 teams will make up the Platinum section, followed by 16 in the Gold section, 16 in the Silver section and the final 16 in the Bronze section.
Eight teams who are knocked out of the Platinum Cup section will have a second opportunity to vie for the Imeyaah Wagiet Memorial Cup.
Winners of the Platinum section stand to win R15 000, with runners up receiving R6 000 and R1 000 each for third and fourth prize. First and second place in this section also get a new sponsored soccer gear kit.
In the Gold, winners receive R3 500, with runners up receiving R3 000.
Silver section winners are rewarded with R2 500 with runners up receiving R1 500. Bronze winners take home R1 000 with R750 for second place.
For the winners of the Imeyaah Wagiet Memorial Cup, the team will receive soccer gear.
Winning also guarantees entry into next year’s hotly contested cup.
Medals and floating trophies will also be handed over to teams.
The tournament will also honour the top goal scorer, player of tournament, goalkeeper of tournament, glove manager/coach of tournament, junior referee and senior referee of tournament as well as team of tournament.
Kit and vouchers are up for grabs in this section.
The tournament kicks off at the Strandfontein Sports complex on Sunday 25 June and will run until Saturday 1 July.

Entry for the competition will be R5 for children, R10 for adults and R10 for cars. Safe parking will be available on site and there will be a variety of food vendors.
