Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting that claimed the lives of a 7-year-old boy and 20-year-old man in Eastridge, Mitchell’s Plain.
“The fatal shooting occurred on Tuesday 7 November at 19:25 in Kameel Street,” provincial police spokesperson Capt FC Van Wyk said. “Two counts of murder were registered for investigation. The motive is unknown. The suspects fled the scene and are yet to be arrested.”
In a statement the councillor for Ward 92, Norman Adonis, said: “My sincerest condolences to the families who lost their members in this shooting in my ward, where a 7-year-old was one of the victims.”
